I know, and you know, why it's so inexpensive: no climate control, aka air conditioning on hot nights. Please don't add air conditioning and raise the price beyond what a poor traveler can afford Just make it clear in your advertising that that's the reason your accommodations are so inexpensive. I'd much rather stay in your wonderfully clean, neat, friendly, centrally-located hotel at a reasonable price I can afford, even having to sweat the night through, than at some air-conditioned place on the outskirts. Fahren mit Bus in Ungarn

Alle internationale Busse kommen an die Busstation Népliget an. Telefon: 264 39 39. Geöffnet: 6:00- 18:00, Samstag, Sontag 06:00 – 16:00. Diese Busstation ist in dem X. Bezirk (Ost-Pest), in der Nähe der Népliget U-Bahnstation (blaue U-Bahnlinie).

Ungarns Volan Busse sind gute Alternativen der Bahn, und die Preise sind auch nicht viel teurer, als eine Fahrkarte für die 2. Klasse auf der Bahn (die Webseite von Volan ist leider nur auf ungarisch erreichbar).

Es gibt drei bedeutende Busstationen in Budapest. Die meisten Busse nach West-Europa bzw. nach Prag; Preßburg; Slvenien und Kroatien fahren vom Erzsebet Platz ab (U-Bahn: Deák tér). Über verlorene Gepäcke können Sie im Büro von 06.00 bis 18.00 Uhr Informationen bekommen.

Einige Busse nach Osteuropa bzw. in die Türkei und nach Schweden fahren von der Busstation  Stadionok ab, XIV. Hungária körút 48-52. (U-Bahn: Stadionok), über verlorene Gepäcke können Sie im Büro von 06.00 bis 18.00 Uhr Informationen bekommen.

Busse in die Richtung `Donauknie` fahren von der Busstation, die neben der Árpád Brücke (pester Seite) ist,  ab.

In Süd-Transdanubien bzw. bei einigen Zielen der Grossen Tiefebene lohnt es sich mit ein bisschen mehr Zeit zu rechnen, wenn Sie auf die Bahn umsteigen möchten. Für kürzere Fährte (Donauknie, Balaton) ist es empfehlenswert, die Busse zu wählen. Die Sitze auf den Volan Busse sind gross, die Gepäcke können bequem zwischen den Beinen gepackt werden. Fahrkarten können beim Fahrer gekauft werden, aber an der Station sollen Sie lieber nachfragen.

Ungarische Ausdrücke, die man auf der Fahrplan in den Haltestellen sehen kann:
