Planetarium & Puppets

Budapest’s Planetarium (metro: Népliget) features exciting laser light shows to the accompaniment of rock music.
The paths of the planets, as seen from earth, are projected on to the 23 m (75 ft) dome. There are usually shows held from Tuesday to Sunday at 9.30am, 11am, 1pm, 2:30pm, 4pm, and 9 p.m. You can purchase tickets at the door or from any Budapest ticket agency. Tel.: 265 0996.

The Puppet Theatre, VI Andrássy út 69 (metro: Vörösmarty utca), presents shows designed for children during the day and occasional evening programmes for adults. The kid shows are generally held at 3 p.m. Monday to Thursday and at 10.30 am and 4 p.m. Friday to Sunday. The theatre is closed all summer. Tel.: 341 2166.
