Opened to the public in March 2005, every part of this mammoth Place is at the service of culture. It is the home of music – from classical to jazz to world music – opera, dance, contemporary art and painting. There is always something going on among the huge spaces, towering columns and atmospheric corners of this entirely 21st century building. The National Concert Hall is situated „ in the heart” of the building and the impressive dimensions of the concert hall evoke the atmosphere of a gothic cathedral. The auditorium is on four levels and can accomodate 1700 people. The smaller Festival Theater is equipped with a large stage and the most up-to-date technical facilities, and is used primary for music and dance performances. From the outside, the building is itself a spectacle to be seen, with modern architecture and dramatic lights.
