Local Tourist Offices

The HTB has established a chain of some 30 tourist information offices called Tourinform in many parts of Hungary, and these are the best places to ask general questions and pick up brochures.

The travel agency Express used to serve the youth and student market exclusively, but they now also sell outbound package tours to local people. They issue ISIC student cards and FIYTO (GO25) youth cards as well as Hostelling International (HI) cards. They can also issue discounted BIJ train tickets to anyone under the age of 26. Some Express offices also know about accommodation in student dormitories, youth hostels especially durig summer-months.
