Several years ago, the former Ganz Eletrical Factory was transformed into a modern park area in the second district of Buda. In its new form it is an open grassy area with man-made ponds in the center. Around the edges of this park area, there are both new buildings and a few remaining from the factory that have been put to use as a museum and exhibition spaces. The Hause of Future is a favorite among the permanent exhibitions, with a hands-on discovery display. The other halls regularly hold exhibitions of all genres and live music, dance and theater performances. This park became a favorite among families and young people, and in the warm months is always dotted with people relaxing, strolling or playing. In the cooler months it is still a great place to visit as the exhibitions are top-level and always interesting. Look for special events outside since concerts are often held here and big sporting events are sometimes shown on a large outdoor screen.
