Comments: Eden nightclub do not go there under any circumstances. Myself and a colleague on the 31st January 2007 ordered 2 Gin & Tonics 2 beers 12 wines. 400,000 HUF 4 Enormous bouncers 6 Waiters threatening us. We managed to call the police who arrived Very very quickly almost to quick if you know what I mean. They then sided with the club almost pulling there firearms as they did not speak any English or decided not to. we were then frog marched with the Police to a cash point. Discretion overcoming our valour. Only go out with 1 credit card, pay for each round of drinks as you go, take your embassy hotline number with you. Our Hotel commented it happens all the time and the Police do nothing, I wonder why? maybe you can think of an answer? Do not go to the Eden Nightclub in fear of your life and limb!

Comments: Please Advise your customers to avoid a club called Eden also. We were recommended to go there by our hotel driver (peter @ the NH Budapest*) He showed us a glamorous glossy brochure and told us it was the best place in town. Unfortunately it is a seedy Brothel run by gangsters and staffed by rough hookers. You pay 5000 to get in then the drinks are about 1000 for a beer. Unless you buy expensive drinks for the hookers you are thrown out. They also try to intimidate you into having sex. Luckily we are a couple of big guys and managed to get out of there safely losing only ft5000. Nirvana`s latest scam is get in Free and your first drink is HUF 18,000!!

Comments: Friends from Norway were ripped off in Nirvana on Sunday, July 3rd. after a few drinks they had to pay HUF 118.000.- They were unaware of the US embassy black list, but they were warned in advance.

Comments: Five of my mates got ripped off in Nirvana Nightclub on Wednesday 22 March 06 at 2am. After being duped into going there by a cab driver they ordered 5 bottles of Heineken. When they got there bill it was 2.1 MILLION FLORINTS (EUR 6400). The club people had added champagne for girls, snacks etc, as well as charging over EUR 500 for each beer. When my friends tried to leave offering a reasonable amount they were threatened at gunpoint. After handing over EUR 900, two of them were frogmarched at gunpoint to cashpoint machines and took out another EUR 600. This was seemingly still not enough and a gunman escorted one of the party back to our hotel, in order to gather money from the rest of the travelling party. After 8 other people handed over their remaining money, the gansters were still not satisfied and intimated that the 4 people back in the club were now `gone` i.e would be killed !!!!!! They were only saved by one of my friends going out and getting a further EUR 500 off their credit card and handing it over. A total of over EUR 2100 paid for 5 beers !!!!!! The police, cab drivers and hotel (a 4* Best Western) were clearly all conspiring to defraud us. It ruined our trip.

For your information we started a legal battle against this phenomenon.
