The Eastern Railway Station built in 1884 – on the north side of the Baross tér – is terminus for all trains traveling to Budapest from the West. The hall was designed by Gyula Rohlitz, and the iron construction of the hall was designed by János Feketeházy. The sculptures were the creation of Gyula Bezerédy the frescos were painted by Károly Lotz and Mór Than. On the facade there are the sculptures of James Watt and George Stevenson.
