Use of tickets
There are often checks on the tickets and I am sure you do not wish to get into any unpleasant adventures with the ticket inspectors.
At metro stations there are validating machines as you enter (coloured orange). These print the date on your ticket. Do not forget to validate your ticket when you change metros!
On other public transport you will either find the old-fashioned punch-device (red coloured) or the new, modern orange machine. Regarding the former you have to insert your ticket and pull the black handle on it. This will punch holes in your ticket. Again if you change to another vehicle you will have to validate another ticket unless you have a transfer ticket!
Make sure you purchase the right amount of tickets for your planned journey once you arrive at the metro station. Please validate one of them in a machine BEFORE you enter the metro area. Once off the train that ticket is no longer valid but you will need to keep it until you exit the area, otherwise you will face a fine if the ticket inspectors check on you.
Further advice is printed on ticket!
