How to book a room in your system?

Fill out the reservation form on the website of the hotel by clicking on the `prices and booking` button.

Do I book the room directly with the hotel?

NO.  www.budapesthotels.com is an  online booking center/ a travel agency. We offer booking services for no extra cost. You can even get a hotel room cheaper than at the hotel itself!

What does `On-line` hotel mean?

Availability can be checked on the website of the hotels. You will get a confirmation as soon as you make your reservation via e-mail.

What does `Off-line` hotel mean?

Price list does not mean availability. Our team has to check availability of the hotel and confirms your booking in e-mail only after the hotel confirmed your room.

How do I know, that my reservation is OK?

We send you a confirmation letter within 1 working day. If there is no vacancy at the hotel than we send you an e-mail with offers of other hotels.

I did not get any e-mails from you!

Our first priority is to confirm all secured hotel reservations. Therefore we do our best to answer all bookings the latest within one working day, but normally in a couple of hours.
- You might have misspelled your e-mail address in your reservation so we could not contact you.
- Some spam filter systems (especially at yahoo and hotmail) delete our messages without warning, so please check your bulk and junk mail folder as well! If you do not receive an e-mail from us within 2-3 working days, please contact us again! Also, please drop us a mail a week before your travel to reconfirm your reservations.

Why do I have to give my credit card details? Will you charge my card?

If you book hotel rooms, airport transfer, concert tickets, sight seeing tours orrent a car, than your credit card information serves as a guarantee only, we will NOT charge your card. You will have to pay on the spot. If you book Hydrofoil tickets, Budapest Cards, NeoPhone Cards or Opera tickets than, YES, we will charge your credit card for these services in advance!

Why does BUDAPESTHOTELS.COM need my credit card details?

In general your credit card detailsare only required as a guarantee for the hotel in case you don`t arrive or cancel too late. This might result in a "no-show" charge (generally the equivalent to one night stay) by the hotel. BUDAPESTHOTELS.COM will never charge your credit card. You will pay for your stay at the hotel.

Does the hotel need a deposit or a payment in advance?

You will pay for your stay at thehotel. If the hotel requires a deposit, it will be clearly mentioned on the overview page of the hotel. However, note that some hotels perform a pre-authorization check on your credit card as an extra guarantee. A pre–authorization is a validity check to reserve a certain amount that would guarantee the room. This amount may correspond to the price of one night or to the total costs of your reservation. Once the credit card has been validated, the reserved amount will be released.

What types of credit card can I use to guarantee the reservation?

MasterCard, Visa and AmericanExpress are accepted as a guarantee. However, it is possible that the hotel does not accept all of these for payment. Please check at the bottom of the overview page of the hotel the “Payment” section.

Can I pay for my stay in advance?

Please note that such arrangementsdepend on each hotel’s policy. Therefore, you will need to contact the hotel directly. The hotel’s contact details can be found in the confirmation e-mail of your reservation.

Can I pay for my stay at the hotel with a different credit card than the one used to guarantee the reservation?

Asthe credit card details are only needed for guarantee purposes, you can pay at the hotel using the method of payment of your choice

I do not have a credit card. Can I still book a room?

Yes, it might be possible,please contact us.

Is it secure to send my credit card details through the Internet?


Yes, it is. Weuse the Thawte security system for credit card information. Furthermore the details are coded by a secure system.

How can I change or cancel my reservation?

Please reply to your confirmation letter in e-mail (that contains your booking details). For last minute modifications  and cancellations please call +361-4300-831 (during working hours) or +3630 2109951 (mobile).

I would like to book a private apartment. How does it work?

You can see the list of apartment offers here! These are apartments run by individuals. The owner waits you at the apartment at the agreed time, shows you around and gives you the keys. After this you are alone, in general there is no reception desk and also no breakfast served.

Do I have to bring towels, bed linen, kitchen equipment to the self-catering apartment?

No, they are all provided to you at the apartments for no extra cost.
