Everybody should see the „Hungarian Versailles”, the palace in Gödöllő, which is located only 30 km from Budapest. The palace is one of the most beautiful ensembles of baroque buildings. The palace was built (1735-1749) by the secret counselor of Maria Theresa. The impressive building was used from the second half of the 19th century as summer residence of Francis Joseph I., emperor of Austria and Hungary, and his wife, Queen Elisabeth (Sissy).
Interior and exterior visit of the castle. The guests are invited to a coffee and a cake at the palace café. Then tour throughout the royal gardens with bower and pavilion.
Starts at 2.00 p.m., and takes about 4 hours. The tour ends in Budapest downtown. Hotel pickup is included in the price.
