Plot:

I. act

In the Globe Theater in London, the actors get ready.

The marketplace in Verona, introducing Romeo.

The kitchen of the Capulet-mansion, Juliet appears.

Entrance of the Capulet-mansion. Guests are arriving for a ball. Mab, the witch queen appears.

The ball at the Capulets.

6. picture
The guests are leaving.  

7. picture
Balcony scene.
 

II. act

1. picture
Marketplace of Verona. The nurse gives Romeo Juliett’s message.

2. picture
The chapel of Friar Lawrence. The wedding.

3. picture
Verona’s marketplace. Mercutio and Tybalt’s duél, Mercutio’s death. Romeo’s revenge, the deat of Tybalt.

 
III. act
 
1. picture
Romeo hides in the chapel.

2. picture
Juliet’s room, Romeo says goodbye. The Capulet parents are forcing Paris on their daughter. Juliet, desperate, escapes to Friar Lawrence.

3. picture
The chapel. Juliet gets a sleeping potion from the Friar.
 
4. picture
In her room Juliet pretends to agree to marry Paris. In the morning she is found ’dead’.

5. picture
In the crypt. After the burial of Juliet, Romeo arrives. He commits suicide. Friar Lawrence arrives, wanting to take away Juliet, but she upon seeing her dead lover, kills herself.
 
6. picture
The crypt becomes a cosmic space where the lovers can be eternally together.

The performance ends in the Globe
