The Gala Concert performed by the 100 Gipsy Violins on the night before saying farewell to the old year has become a tradition. The audience can enjoy the works of Liszt, Brahms, Strauss and Khachaturian, among others, performed by superb musicians.

The 100 Gipsy Violins, unparalleled in the world, was established in 1985. The founders of the orchestra intended to unify the excellent musicians from the different world renowned music dynasties, the great families and provide stage and education for the upcoming generation of talented young musicians. The primary objective of the orchestra is the preservation of the traditions of Gipsy and Hungarian folk music and the promotion and keeping on the repertoire of classical folk music. The excellent musicians and the famous violin virtuosos can amaze audiences around the world by their unparalleled skills and the everlasting beauty of Gipsy music.

In addition to Hungarian and Gipsy music, a significant part of the repertoire includes popular works by the great figures of international classical musical literature.
By its art the orchestra intends to create a bridge between the minority and the majority by acknowledging cultural differences, preserving values and contributing to the colourful picture of European culture.
