Mangalica festival is known as the year’s first gastronomy festival

The festival takes place in Vajdahunyad castle in Budapest, which gives a lovely and historical atmosphere for the festival. The Hungarian brandy, Palinka and the traditional Hungarian breed of pig, Mangalica is in focus of the festival.

You can taste 100 different traditional Hungarian meals, mainly made of mangalitsa pork, besides there are handicraft sheds and live music concerts every day.
