Twenty million passengers at Ferihegy

Due to a 3 phase development, passenger capacity of Ferihegy Airport is projected to increase to 20 million from the present 8 million.

The first phase of the over Ft 65 billion ($ 364.5 million) investment involves the renovation and expansion of the second terminal’s passenger area by July 2009. The construction will start in this July. 20% of the building will be demolished to include a new central area, a new hall called Sky Court. The second and the third phase will involve the construction of new side terminals in 2010 and 2011.
