Spring’s bouquet is back
After the success of the first Spring Wine Festival in Budapest last year, the organisers will again turn the City Hall Park in District V into a scene of cultured wine consumption from Saturday, 7 April to Monday, 9 April. Small and medium-sized producers of high-quality wines from around Hungary will present their wares. To make choosing between them easier, a jury composed of wine experts and representatives of the sponsors, media and cultural life, will pick the best in the red, white and dessert wine categories. The winners will be allowed to display the logo “Wine of Budapest” on their labels. Alongside the wines and delicacies on offer, the festival also features a variety of cultural events. Quiz shows and specialist talks during the day will be followed by concerts in the evenings, and artists will display their works on the theme of the festival. Short films about the exhibitors, the sponsors, as well as wine production and consumption will be shown on a large screen.
