Let the fest begin

The Budapest Summer Festival features a number of concerts at Margaret Island’s outdoor theatre located at the foot of the water tower.

On Thursday, 14 June the 100 Member Gypsy Orchestra will perform its version of Hungarian Gypsy music. Former members of seminal ‘60s group The Doors, Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger will be topping up their pensions playing as Riders on the Storm on 7 July. Fans of Irish dancing can look forward to the appearance of the Irish Dance Experience Show (pictured) on 21 July. For full concert listings see the website.

Venue: Margaret Island, Open-air Stage, District XIII, on Margaret Island at the base of the water tower. Reachable by the number 26 bus from either Árpád Bridge or Margaret Bridge or on foot from the number 4 and 6 tram stop on Margaret Bridge.
