Hotel Location

Star Hotel is in the 7th District of Budapest, on the Eastern (Pest) side of the capital. Keleti (Eastern) Railway Station is located just 5 minutes walk away, and this is a convenient point to access the No. 2 (red) Metro line, part of the city’s comprehensive and efficient public transport system.

There is limited drop-off parking in front of the hotel, but secure parking is available nearby. Inexpensive restaurants are also in the neighbourhood, and Heroes’ Square and other sights are only a short journey away.

On foot from Keleti train station

As you walk out of the station’s main façade, turn to the right (roughly NorthWest), take the pedestrian crossing under the busy street (THÖKÖLY ÚT) and enter BETHLEN GÁBOR utca (by McDonald’s). Go straight ahead until you reach the 3rd intersection. Turn right onto ISTVÁN utca, walk one more block, and you will find the Hotel on your left at number 14!

By car

Enter city via M7 from Vienna and the west, follow Hegyalja út and signs for Erzsébet Hid (Elizabeth bridge- the square, iron, white bridge) and Pest. Cross the bridge into Pest and continue straight for 2 km (6 traffic lights) until the grand façade of Keleti railway station.

Now you are close, but there is a complex one way system to navigate:
In front of the grand façade of Keleti railway station, take the left lane and follow the road round and back to the West for 100m, and quickly move to the right lane and turn to the right just before the large underpass.

On Rottenbiller utca, take the 3rd right turn onto István utca, and continue 1km (2 corners) and Hotel Star is at number 14 on the right side. Short term parking is in front of the hotel entrance.

Rooms

We offer 48 air-conditioned guest rooms, including 20 non-smoking rooms. Kitchen available in some apartments. Please specify if requested (extra charged 10 EUR/night).

All rooms are sunny and spacious!

Some apartments have got a small kitchenette, all rooms have got a bathroom.

 Castle Vár: 7 kms - 4.3 miles, 10 minutes by taxi.
 Ferihegy Airport: 17 kms - 10.6 miles, 20 minutes by taxi
 Keleti railway station: 0.5 kms - 0.3 miles, 5 minutes' walk.
 Nyugati Railway Station: 4 kms - 2.5 miles, 10 minutes by metro.

Well appointed thermal spa facilities and the City Park are within easy reach from the hotel.
