The history of the town dates back to the Roman Age. The founder of our state, St. Steven’s wife, Queen Gisela chose Veszprém as her residence. Today it is a university town and the cultural centre of the region. Beside the cultural inheritance and the sights of the town, many programs are being held here.
Betekints Hotel and Restaurant was built in one of the most beautiful area of Veszprém, at the bank of a small river and at the foot of the Bridge Viadukt. It was named after the valley it is lying in. The nature, the spans of the viaduct, the silhouette of the thousand- year-old castle and the towers of the ancient churches make the time you spend in our hotel, unforgettable. Our renewed and enlarged hotel is devoted to its traditions: complaisance, hospitality and excellent cuisine; and guarantees the quality of the new century in comfort and high standard.
Our four stars hotel is waiting our guests with 38 smartly furnished rooms including apartments. We can accommodate 85 persons at the same time. The rooms are equipped with shower, TV-sets, telephones, Internet connection, minibar and hair drier, most of them are air-conditioned.

The lately renewed "Betekints Guest-House", which lies approximately 50m far from the main building of the Hotel, has six comfortable luxury apartments. They satisfy all the highest requirements, they have bathroom, TV, telephone, all are air-conditioned and have a kitchenette, a small dining area , some of them boast with a romantic fireplace as well. The guest of the Guesthouse can also make use of the hotel-services.
Our Services

You have the possibility for taking long walks, cycling, horse riding or doing any other kind of sports in the gorgeously climated valley. You can reach the beautiful old town in only 10 minutes walking, where you can visit the museums and the castle.
In our Hungarian restaurant, which won the protectorate title of the Hungarian National Gastronomic Association, you will find a great choice of poultry, game, veal, rabbit and fish. It offers a wide assortment of drinks and more than 50 kinds of high quality wine from Hungary. Open-air terrace operates in summer time to make your stay even more convenient. Conferences, receptions, meeting, business-lunches, wedding parties, other family events or any other programs can be held in our 250 seated air-conditioned, well-equipped conference-hall. (The hall can be divided into 3 smaller parts with soundproof doors.)
