There are almost a thousand buildings in present-day Hungary that qualify as chateaux, castles or mansions and 800 of them are registered as historic monuments, including their parks. The historical tempests of past centuries, World War II and the decades to follow it did nor pay due respect to these former rural residences of noble families.

Today castles serve as museums, cultural or conference centres, or fine hotels offering a wide variety of activities to visitors. Visitors open to culture and past ages should join us to discover the beauty of historical regions, castles and noble homes in Hungary.
